World Custard Pie Championship
Coxheath, Kent
Teams compete in a slapstick pie-throwing contest.

A world title doesn’t need a stadium. Britain’s more unexpected championships test skill with peas, conkers, stones, porridge and faces. What links them is that somebody cared enough to write the rules, organise a contest and decide who did it best.
Pick the spectacle that tickles you, then head to its own guide. Some titles welcome visiting entrants; others have qualifying or selection rounds. Spectator charges vary, and several next dates are still unannounced. These are separate events dotted through the calendar, not a tour, so each has its own entry process and rulebook.
